Software AG, AmberPoint Integrate SOA Software

Software AG, which provides infrastructure software for said Monday its product suite would be integrated with AmberPoint's SOA management application.

The combination of the products is meant to reduce the complexity of SOA governance by providing tools from initial design through run-time management, the companies said.

Specifically, AmberPoint software will be able to manage services through the repository in Software AG’s Crossvision suite. In addition, the repository, called CentraSite, would receive from AmberPoint updates with changes of services.

AmberPoint and CentraSite will also exchange policy information, enabling the repository to enforce rules at run-time and to receive new policies and policy changes made by AmberPoint.

The Crossvision suite includes application composition, business process management, legacy system integration and service orchestration. The companies did not disclose a timetable for the integration, or whether the products would be sold as a bundle.
