Nokia says wins phone management software deal

HELSINKI - (NOK1V.HE) has won an order from Finnish telecom operator Elisa (ELI1V.HE) for a system which will allow the operator to remotely control software in mobile phones, the technology firm said on Tuesday.

The system will enable the operator to remotely install, update and remove software from the mobile devices, cutting the need for costly and time-consuming manual work, Nokia said.

"This is Nokia's first deal with focus on device management for corporate customers," it said in a statement, without disclosing financial details.
